Other Ponds
and Streams

 In
addition to the described lakes and creeks in the Richland
Natural Area, many other small ponds and streams exist.
These ponds and streams, while not named, are important
in their micro-ecosystem to the aquatic life living
there. These ponds and streams also join larger bodies
of water such as Big Lake, Crabtree Creek and Richland
Creek. Adding fertilizers and sediments to these smaller
bodies of water will have a greater adverse impact on
the larger bodies of water than may have been imagined
due to this waterway network.
